No. This site sells PDF e-books that you download online after purchase. No physical books are shipped.

Adults who are native Chinese speakers and have studied basic English, but tend to get stuck in real conversations. The books mainly use Chinese for explanations and English for dialogues; the English is common American usage.

If short English sentences are still hard for you, the how-to-use pages of Book 1 suggest relying on the Chinese to understand first, then gradually covering up the Chinese.

Each book can be used on its own. If you most often get stuck at "I didn't catch that", "I don't understand" or "I don't know how to say it", start with Book 1. If you can ask people to repeat themselves but can't clearly explain situations and reasons, look at Book 2. If you need to make suggestions, respond to disagreement and negotiate arrangements, look at Book 3.

If you are not sure, download all three samples and look at one lesson from each.

No. The three books progress by communication skill. They are not CEFR or other language levels, and they do not certify any level.

The text, exercises, Chinese explanations and color illustrations in these books were generated with AI tools and revised through several rounds of AI review; the layout was done by software; the characters and situations are fictional. The copyright page of each book states that it has not yet had a final review by an independent human language editor. In addition, the books have not yet been tested with target readers. We suggest reading the free samples before you decide.

There is no DRM encryption and no watermark. You can open and print them with any PDF reader on your own computer, tablet or phone. Please use them only for your own study; do not forward them or upload them publicly.

Not at present. The books do not come with audio, video, a course or an app.

No. Payment is completed on Stripe's secure payment page; you only need to enter your email address and payment details. This site never receives or stores your card number.

Once payment is confirmed, the payment confirmation page shows a "Go to downloads" button, and you can usually download right away. We also send an email with the download link to the email address you entered when paying (the email does not include the PDF as an attachment).

A single-book order lets you download that book; a set order lets you download each of the three books separately.

Some payment methods (for example, some bank transfers) take time before the payment can be confirmed as received. Downloads do not open until it is confirmed. Once it is, we email the download link to you, so you do not need to keep the page open. If the payment ultimately fails, you will not be charged and downloads will not open.

First check your spam, promotions or "Other" folders, and make sure the email address you entered when paying was spelled correctly.

If you still can't find it, open the "Recover download link" page and enter the email address you used to buy; we will send a new download link to that address.

The download link in the email is valid for 30 days. After it expires, open the "Recover download link" page and enter your purchase email address, and you will receive a new link (valid for 24 hours). To protect your order, the new link is only sent to the purchase email address and is never shown directly on the web page.

Just tap download again. Repeat downloads and resumed downloads from the same network within 30 minutes are not counted again. The download limit for each book in an order is 20 times; if you really do need more, please contact support.

You can keep the downloaded PDF on several of your own devices. Please do not forward the download link or the file to anyone else.

Yes. Open the link in your purchase email directly on the new device (valid for 30 days; the same link can be opened in up to 10 browsers). If the link has expired or won't open, use "Recover download link" with your purchase email address and you will receive a new link.

Within 14 days of purchase: if no book in the order has been downloaded yet, you can request a full refund for any reason; if a file is unusable or the purchase was a duplicate, you can get a refund even after downloading. Once downloading has begun, we do not give refunds simply because you changed your mind. Refunds are returned through Stripe to the original payment method, and downloads are closed after a full refund. See the "Refund Policy" for details.
